Job Overview:
The position of Administrative Support Consultant within the Health Nutrition and Population Division is designed for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the division's operations, which include health capital investment strategies, health networks strengthening, and health system financing. The consultant will be expected to coordinate logistics for high-impact events, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with Bank policies. This role requires effective communication and the ability to multitask while maintaining organization and attention to detail. The consultant will also assist in contract management and procurement processes, ensuring that all administrative tasks are executed efficiently and in accordance with the IDB's standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Administrative Support Consultant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: coordinating the planning and logistics for high-scale events, managing travel arrangements for team members and external guests, and ensuring compliance with Bank standards. The consultant will support the planning, execution, and follow-up of activities, maintaining effective communication with all parties involved. Additionally, the consultant will verify progress across all phases of projects and contracts, manage timelines, and resolve any challenges that arise. Responsibilities also include supporting the firm contracting process through Corporate Procurement, administering contract supporting documents, processing invoices and payments, and maintaining weekly reports on contracts and payments. The consultant will assist with contract amendments and ensure compliance with Bank policies throughout the contract management process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an Associate’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree in business administration or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in contract management, procurement, and administrative tasks is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, as the consultant will be expected to utilize these tools effectively in their daily tasks. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Educational Background:
The position requires an Associate’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree in business administration or a field relevant to the responsibilities of the role. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of contract management and administrative processes within the IDB Group.

Experience:
The candidate should have at least 2 years of progressive experience in areas such as contract management, procurement, and administrative support. This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with the IDB's operational policies and procedures will be advantageous.

Languages:
Proficiency in both Spanish and English, spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered a plus, as it may enhance communication with diverse stakeholders in the region.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as an international consultant role, requiring full-time commitment for a duration of 19 months, with the possibility of extension up to 48 months, subject to eligibility.
