Job Overview:
The OSS Logistic Coordinator is a key position within the Logistics and Information Systems Department of Solidarités International. This role involves defining and implementing the logistics and procurement strategy for the country office to ensure the smooth execution of humanitarian projects. The coordinator will work closely with the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director and program coordinators to translate programmatic needs into effective logistical solutions that comply with internal policies and procedures. The position requires a proactive approach to logistics management, ensuring that all logistical aspects are aligned with the organization's mission and operational priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Internal Coordination and Project Management: Define and implement the logistics and procurement strategy for the mission; ensure operational follow-up of logistics and purchasing activities; plan annual activities including budgets and action plans; optimize logistical resources; prepare and validate logistical elements of donor reports.
  • External Coordination: Represent the organization in logistics coordination spaces (clusters, networks); participate in security and humanitarian access meetings as required; advocate for logistical constraints with humanitarian actors.
  • Supply Chain Management: Define the purchasing strategy in close collaboration with program teams; coordinate market analysis at national, regional, and local levels; ensure compliance with purchasing, storage, transport, and inventory procedures.
  • Technical Equipment and Transport: Define transportation strategies adapted to security contexts; manage the vehicle fleet; implement strategies for managing technical equipment (vehicles, energy, telecoms, IT).
  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure compliance and management of real estate leases; oversee the installation and maintenance of functional offices and living bases.
  • Security: Collaborate with the Country Director and Security Coordinator to define the strategy for using security-related equipment; ensure team training on technical security means; guarantee operational readiness of logistical incident management systems.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in emergency activity programming;
  • Experience in supporting the opening of bases and implementing challenging programmatic activities;
  • Experience in capacity building of logistics teams;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Adaptability and strong initiative;
  • Excellent improvisation skills;
  • Proficiency in French and English (very good reading, writing, and speaking skills). Knowledge of other languages, particularly Arabic and Spanish, is a plus.

Educational Background:
A degree at the BAC +3 to BAC +5 level in humanitarian logistics is required for this position. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in logistics principles and practices, particularly in the context of humanitarian operations.

Experience:
Candidates should have 3 to 4 years of experience as a logistics coordinator in the humanitarian sector. This experience should include a proven track record of managing logistics in complex environments and supporting humanitarian operations effectively.

Languages:
Mandatory languages include French and English, with very good skills in reading, writing, and oral expression. Knowledge of additional languages, especially Arabic and Spanish, is considered an asset and is highly desirable for this position.

Additional Notes:
The position is based at the headquarters of Solidarités International in Clichy la Garenne, with field deployments required. The contract is a permanent contract (CDI) with a gross monthly salary of €2365, depending on the organization's salary scale. Benefits include health insurance (80%), meal vouchers (60%), and transportation costs (50%) covered by the organization. The OSS/ERT program includes health and repatriation insurance, with a 50% contribution from SI and 50% from the employee. There is also the possibility of remote work, allowing for 4 to 12 days of telework per month or 100% remote work with 3 mandatory in-person days per month, in accordance with the current telework charter and manager approval. Employees are entitled to 2.0833 vacation days per month and 1 RTT day per full month of work, with OSS employees not entitled to RTT. Medical coverage is fully covered during field deployments.
