Job Overview:
The role of Asistente Técnico ICLA is crucial in contributing to the implementation of the Information, Orientation, and Legal Assistance component in line with NRC's programmatic strategy. This position allows NRC to engage with key stakeholders, including the Public Ministry and community-based organizations, to advocate for the rights and protection of victims of armed conflict and individuals in need of international protection. The Asistente Técnico ICLA will be responsible for ensuring adherence to NRC policies and guidelines, supporting the implementation of the ICLA project portfolio, and facilitating operational management of the ICLA response in the field. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage information securely and in compliance with data protection standards. The Asistente Técnico ICLA will also play a vital role in promoting community participation and ensuring that services are delivered in a safe, equitable, and differentiated manner, contributing to the development of durable solutions for affected populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente Técnico ICLA will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: ensuring compliance with NRC policies and guidelines; supporting the implementation of the ICLA project portfolio according to the action plan; developing and maintaining knowledge of ICLA competencies in the operational territory; organizing and executing tasks based on priorities and standards; resolving daily problems in accordance with agreed procedures; preparing reports for project management; managing information securely; promoting ideas to strengthen support functions; implementing information, orientation, and legal assistance activities for internally displaced persons and vulnerable migrants; fostering community participation in humanitarian emergencies; supporting the preparation of reports for rapid needs assessments and protection evaluations; collecting key information and coordinating with institutional entities; documenting and following up on cases; conducting legal assistance activities; facilitating training for public officials; monitoring and closing legal cases; providing feedback on case analysis; participating in technical working groups; maintaining updated databases; and contributing to the effective achievement of project objectives and indicators.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Asistente Técnico ICLA position should possess a range of qualifications, including technical studies or being a university student in the final semesters or a recent graduate in Law. A minimum of one year of experience as a Technical Assistant in humanitarian contexts is required, along with knowledge of the Colombian state structure and international law. Candidates should have experience working in complex and changing environments, basic knowledge of English, and competencies related to the defense of refugee rights in humanitarian and social contexts. Proficiency in providing information, orientation, and legal assistance is essential, as well as experience with Office software and databases. Knowledge of international and national regulations related to international protection, refugee status, migration law, and human rights is highly valued, along with experience in social projects and fieldwork with vulnerable populations.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Asistente Técnico ICLA position includes technical studies or being in the final semesters of a university program in Law.
