Job Overview: The Anti-Trafficking Caseworker for IRC Tucson plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate, and client-centered case management services to both domestic and foreign victims of human trafficking, which includes both sex and labor trafficking. The primary responsibilities of this position involve completing eligibility screenings and enrollment paperwork, developing tailored service plans, educating clients about available community services, resources, and their legal rights, and assisting clients in overcoming barriers to access these services. Additionally, the caseworker will engage in programmatic and administrative tasks, which include training, maintaining case notes, managing case files, and collecting data to ensure effective service delivery. The caseworker is expected to work collaboratively with various local, state, and community agencies to enhance the identification and referral processes for victims of human trafficking in Arizona, ensuring that acute needs are met in a timely and culturally sensitive manner. This position also requires participation in outreach and training activities to meet program outcomes and maintain compliance with IRC policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Anti-Trafficking Caseworker will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: understanding and applying the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) and related policies; building and maintaining relationships with local, state, and community agencies; developing strategies for the identification and referral of human trafficking victims; ensuring that program participants' acute needs are met promptly and appropriately; assisting in the development and implementation of outreach and training activities; completing eligibility screenings and enrollment paperwork for program participants; providing comprehensive case management services, including facilitating access to community resources and legal referrals; ensuring that all services provided are linguistically appropriate; maintaining thorough and timely case notes; tracking program activities and compiling data for reports; coordinating services across multiple programs; participating in program and donor meetings; and adhering to all IRC policies and procedures. The caseworker may also be required to provide remote case management services as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Anti-Trafficking Caseworker position should possess a strong set of qualifications, including an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field, although comparable work experience may be considered as a substitute. A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required, with at least 1 year of experience working directly with victims of human trafficking, victims of crime, or other vulnerable populations. Experience in case management and/or victim assistance is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent written and spoken English skills, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in writing and analytical skills. Public speaking or presentation experience is also preferred. The compensation for this position ranges from $22.23 to $22.59 per hour, with the exact offer being determined based on factors such as work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
