Job Overview:
The Instructional Designer for ERP Implementation will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of training content related to ERP systems. This position requires the individual to translate complex ERP processes and workflows into user-friendly learning materials that are pedagogically sound. The designer will create multimedia instructional resources, including tutorials, guides, videos, simulations, job aids, and infographics, ensuring that all materials reflect current ERP functionalities. The role involves managing the full instructional design lifecycle for both eLearning and face-to-face courses, integrating ERP content into the Learning Management System (LMS) to provide a high-quality user experience. The designer will also be responsible for designing assessments and evaluations to measure learning outcomes, supporting organizational capacity assessments related to ERP adoption, and documenting training processes and workflows. Additionally, the designer will contribute to broader capacity development initiatives and collaborate with the CapDev team to align ERP training with the institutional learning strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance in designing and developing training content for ERP implementation.
  • Translate complex ERP processes and workflows into clear, user-friendly, and pedagogically sound learning materials.
  • Create multimedia ERP instructional resources, including tutorials, guides, videos, simulations, job aids, and infographics.
  • Manage the full instructional design lifecycle for ERP eLearning and face-to-face courses.
  • Ensure learning resources reflect current ERP functionalities and incorporate interactive learning approaches.
  • Plan, develop, and support the delivery of ERP courses, workshops, and training activities.
  • Integrate ERP content into the LMS ensuring a high-quality user experience.
  • Design assessments, quizzes, practical exercises, and performance-based evaluations for ERP learning outcomes.
  • Support organizational capacity assessments related to ERP adoption. 1
  • Document, organize, and systematize ERP training processes, workflows, and learning resources. 1
  • Contribute instructional design expertise to CapDev initiatives beyond ERP. 1
  • Support the creation of scalable templates, guidelines, and learning standards. 1
  • Provide advisory input for non-ERP training aligned with adult learning principles. 1
  • Collaborate with the CapDev team to align ERP training with the institutional learning strategy. 1
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of knowledge-sharing systems and learning pathways. 1
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to strengthen the organizational learning ecosystem.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Additional professional training or certification in instructional design is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of administrative and operational procedures relevant to research support functions.
  • Experience administering Learning Management Systems (preferably Moodle or Opigno).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience designing educational content and multimedia learning assets is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, H5P, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated instructional design experience is a strong asset.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field is required for this position. Additional professional training or certification in instructional design is highly desirable, as it enhances the candidate's ability to effectively create and manage instructional materials and learning experiences.

Experience:
Candidates should possess relevant experience in instructional design, particularly in the context of ERP systems. Experience administering Learning Management Systems, such as Moodle or Opigno, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing educational content and multimedia learning assets, demonstrating a solid understanding of instructional design principles and practices.

Languages:
Advanced English proficiency (C1 level minimum—testing required) is mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an advantage but is not explicitly required.
