Job Overview:
The Construction Officer position at UNICEF is crucial for providing technical support to construction activities within the country office. Reporting to the Chief Supply and Logistics, the officer will be responsible for planning, procurement support, and monitoring construction works on-site. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Construction Officer will undertake a variety of duties including:

• Preparation of the annual construction work plan in alignment with UNICEF's strategic objectives.
• Collaborating with UNICEF Programmes and Operations to identify and define construction needs.
• Coordinating with government counterparts to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Preparing design and technical documents necessary for construction projects.
• Supporting the procurement process by providing technical specifications and requirements.
• Monitoring construction projects to ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Conducting site visits to assess progress and address any issues that arise during construction.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the Construction Officer position, candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor's) in civil engineering, construction engineering, architecture, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in project monitoring, site supervision, and quality assurance, preferably at both national and international levels.
