Job Overview:
The role of the Social Champion Marketing Assistant is crucial for strengthening the operational, technical, and creative capacity of UNICEF's marketing, fundraising, and advocacy efforts in Peru. This position involves comprehensive support in planning, producing, and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing positioning, engagement, and resource mobilization. The ideal candidate will be versatile, organized, and proactive, possessing skills in campaign management, event logistics, audiovisual production, and promotional material development. Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing marketing activities, managing suppliers, and ensuring cost-efficiency and quality in service delivery. The assistant will also support transversal campaigns, create and adapt content, write communication pieces, design graphics, and edit videos for various channels, ensuring alignment with institutional identity and global brand guidelines. The role is designed to contribute to the agile and effective execution of marketing actions, enhancing collaboration with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring that each initiative mobilizes resources for children while reflecting UNICEF's values and generating impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Social Champion Marketing Assistant will provide integral support in executing marketing services, designing, and producing both physical and digital content aimed at strengthening fundraising and advocacy results for UNICEF in Peru. Key responsibilities include: supporting the design and adaptation of graphic pieces and multi-channel content for fundraising campaigns, corporate partnerships, and visibility actions; developing and editing digital and audiovisual content (videos, social media pieces, adaptations, mailings) to enhance engagement and conversion of partners and prospects; assisting in the organization and logistics of events, activations, and visibility actions, including coordination with suppliers and production of materials; managing marketing suppliers (agencies, print shops, production companies) to ensure timely delivery, quality of outputs, and efficient resource use; ensuring proper application of the UNICEF brand in all produced materials, maintaining graphic, narrative, and institutional consistency according to global guidelines; supporting the creation of promotional materials and impactful pieces for both physical (events, activations, POP materials) and digital (social media, digital campaigns, mailings, landing pages) environments; participating in ideation processes and content development to translate strategic concepts into clear, attractive, and relevant messages for various audiences; managing and tracking campaign timelines to ensure orderly, efficient execution aligned with marketing and fundraising objectives; coordinating content with internal and external teams: Programs, Fundraising, Communication; monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) of campaigns and analyzing fundraising results linked to marketing efforts. The role requires a practical understanding of institutional communication objectives, strong organizational and execution capabilities, and sensitivity to UNICEF's mission.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of marketing principles and practices, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They should demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and have excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in campaign management, event logistics, and content production, along with a commitment to UNICEF's values of care, respect, integrity, transparency, and sustainability. Professionalism in task management and relationship building is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, social sciences, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in project management or digital marketing would be advantageous. Candidates should have a solid understanding of marketing strategies and tools, as well as experience in content creation and management.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or fundraising roles. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in a similar context is highly desirable. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms is essential, as well as experience in event planning and execution.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, particularly indigenous languages relevant to the regions served by UNICEF in Peru.

Additional Notes:
This position is a volunteer role under the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program, offering a monthly stipend of S/5,009, with additional performance-based bonuses. Volunteers will receive comprehensive international medical insurance, life and disability insurance, and opportunities for learning through UNV training platforms and UNICEF-related training. The role may require participation in weekend events, with prior notification and additional compensation for travel expenses. Volunteers are entitled to vacation days (1.5 days per month) and must adhere to the organization's internal regulations. The position requires full vaccination against COVID-19, with exceptions for remote volunteers who will not interact directly with communities.
