Job Overview:
The Results Based Management Associate position is crucial for supporting the UNDP/PAPP in its mission to enhance the effectiveness of its projects through a robust Results Based Management (RBM) framework. The role involves working closely with the Results Based Management Analyst and the Programme team to facilitate project design, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and results reporting. The associate will engage in developing results frameworks, conducting evaluations, and ensuring compliance with corporate requirements. This position is designed for individuals who can adapt to a volatile environment and contribute to the strategic direction of the organization. The associate will also play a key role in internal learning and capacity building within the UNDP staff regarding RBM practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Results Based Management Associate include: 1) Supporting project design and planning by assisting in the development of results frameworks, Theory of Change, and M&E plans; reviewing project reports for results orientation; and participating in field visits to gather lessons learned. 2) Assisting in the planning and implementation of project evaluations, including drafting Terms of Reference (ToRs), evaluating bidders, and managing the Evaluation Resource Center (ERC). 3) Ensuring quality assurance and compliance with corporate requirements by tracking project assessments, coordinating with project managers for updates, and preparing for audits and evaluations. 4) Supporting internal RBM learning by identifying training needs, participating in learning activities, and maintaining compliance tracking. 5) Performing any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. They should demonstrate accountability, adaptability, and professionalism in their work. Familiarity with project management and evaluation methodologies is essential, along with a commitment to the values of the UNDP.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, project management, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees are preferred and may enhance the candidate's profile.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field. Experience working in a development context, particularly in volatile environments, is highly desirable. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and RBM principles will be an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and beneficiaries. Additional languages may be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This position is a national UN Volunteer assignment, requiring the volunteer to arrange their own housing and living essentials. The contract is for 12 months, with the possibility of extensions based on funding availability and performance. A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of ILS 5730 is provided monthly to cover living expenses, along with life, health, and permanent disability insurance, including coverage for up to three dependents. An exit allowance is also provided for satisfactory service.
