Job Overview: The AI Enablement Lead position is a critical role within the World Bank's Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidency. This position is designed to drive the Enablement Unit's agenda on Responsible AI and data, focusing on building capabilities and fostering innovation across the organization. The role involves shaping the strategy for the AI Studio accelerator program, facilitating workshops, and establishing processes for citizen enablement initiatives. The AI Enablement Lead will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the World Bank Group's staff are empowered to leverage data and AI technologies effectively and responsibly. This position requires a blend of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and community-building to foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the AI Enablement Lead include:
Strategy and Portfolio Management: Define the strategy and roadmap for citizen enablement platforms, establish portfolio management mechanisms, and develop value cases and measurement frameworks to guide investment decisions.
Facilitation and Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate design thinking sessions with business units, nurture communities of practice, and translate insights into actionable pilot backlogs.
Partnerships & Coordination: Manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, coordinate with product and governance teams on responsible AI use, and collaborate with Learning and Adoption leads to support innovation outputs with training and communications.
Communication: Prepare and deliver strategic communications and thought leadership artifacts to promote innovation outcomes and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the AI Enablement Lead position typically require a master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. The role demands strong competencies in strategic planning, design thinking, portfolio management, community building, and responsible AI governance. Additionally, candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a master's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
