Job Overview: As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in leading high-quality practice and empowering others within the Intensive Bail Initiative team in Mount Isa. This full-time position is a maximum term role until June 30, 2026, with a strong possibility of extension. Your primary responsibilities will include driving the planning and delivery of evidence-informed programs aimed at achieving meaningful outcomes for children who have had contact with the youth justice system. You will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring colleagues to enhance their capabilities, building strong partnerships with stakeholders, overseeing program operations, and maintaining a client caseload to ensure client-centered care remains at the forefront of service delivery. This position is ideal for experienced practitioners looking to make a lasting impact on children, families, and communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and delivery of high-impact, evidence-informed programs that achieve meaningful outcomes for children.
Coach, mentor, and support colleagues to build their capabilities and ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and support program success.
Oversee program operations, including coordinating caseloads, managing program logistics, and ensuring compliance with child protection standards.
Maintain a client caseload, modeling best practices and ensuring that client-centered care is at the heart of service delivery.
Proactively manage risks associated with program delivery and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, understanding, and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and families, families at risk, and young people involved in the youth justice system.
A degree or diploma in a related field, or significant relevant experience.

Educational Background: Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in a relevant field, which may include social work, psychology, or community services. Alternatively, significant relevant experience in the field may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
