Job Overview: The position of Alternant Mécénat et Philanthropie offers a comprehensive view of fundraising challenges with various major donors in an NGO context, linked to projects seeking funding and the ethical criteria of Handicap International. As an intern, you will contribute to the financing of Handicap International's actions by identifying potential philanthropists, companies, and French foundations that could become future donors. You will also participate in establishing and animating these partnerships, which is crucial for achieving the organization's funding goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Your main responsibilities will include: 1) **Fostering relationships with partner companies and foundations** - Creating project briefs for funding, compiling reports on projects funded by donors, updating news, promoting partnerships through communication channels (website, social media), and contributing to a monthly newsletter for businesses and foundations. 2) **Prospecting for French companies and philanthropists** - Conducting research to qualify potential corporate and philanthropic prospects with significant donation capacity, developing personalized solicitation plans, seeking contacts, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, and possibly accompanying meetings while drafting reports. 3) **Participating in writing responses to project calls from French foundations** - Monitoring and identifying funding opportunities based on project needs and eligibility criteria, selecting projects that meet funding criteria, and assisting in drafting project proposals and related materials. 4) **Conducting research to identify potential partners and donors** - Keeping abreast of economic news, CSR developments, external events, and philanthropy networks to identify potential partners and enrich the prospect database, sharing findings with the team weekly. 5) **Supporting the organization of events for major donors and prospects** - Providing logistical support before and during events, managing digital and paper invitations, and tracking registrations. 6) **Assisting with administrative follow-up and team activities** - Drafting donation agreements or amendments, processing donations and sending tax receipts, maintaining and updating the CRM database, and participating in team meetings.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be students pursuing a Bac +5 degree from a business school, communication school, or IEP (Institute of Political Studies). A prior experience in partnership management or implementing fundraising strategies is advantageous. Experience in communication or commercial development will also be valued. A strong interest in CSR, diversity and inclusion policies, philanthropy, and fundraising is essential. Knowledge of the fundraising landscape and its regulations is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to write, analyze, and synthesize information clearly and structured in both French and English. Additionally, candidates should possess organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, versatility, dynamism, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity.
