Job Overview: The Civil Society National Reference Group (CS-NRG) is a key component of the Spotlight Initiative 2.0, aimed at eliminating violence against women and girls (VAWG) in Liberia. The CS-NRG will consist of up to 11 members who will serve in a voluntary capacity, providing strategic advice and guidance on the initiative's direction. Members will engage with civil society and women's movements to advocate for the program's objectives, ensuring accountability and monitoring its implementation. The CS-NRG will facilitate dialogue, enhance policy coherence, and support grassroots engagement to address VAWG and harmful practices. Duties and Responsibilities: The CS-NRG will undertake several key responsibilities, including:
Engaging meaningfully with civil society and women's movements at various levels to provide advice and advocacy for the Spotlight Initiative 2.
Enhancing dialogue and providing guidance on policy and legislation related to VAWG and harmful practices.
Advising on the strategic direction of the initiative's county program and current interventions.
Conducting consultations with grassroots groups to gather feedback and insights on program performance.
Liaising with global and regional reference groups to share knowledge and develop solutions to common challenges.
Supporting monitoring efforts and advising on the implementation of the program, including addressing emerging VAWG issues.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the non-governmental sector, with a focus on gender equality and women's rights. They should demonstrate a background in advancing gender equality, eliminating VAWG, and promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights.
