The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including government institutions and civil society organizations, to gather and analyze data, ensuring that the analysis is comprehensive and reflective of the realities faced by children and adolescents in Bolivia.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
Developing a methodology, timeline, and work plan for the SITAN under the supervision of the lead consultant.
Coordinating with the lead consultant to compile and analyze information from various sources.
Conducting interviews with public institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders involved in childhood and adolescence issues.
Organizing focus group workshops to gather qualitative data.
Systematizing and analyzing all collected information to inform the final document.
Presenting progress reports and the final document to UNICEF and UDAPE teams.
Ensuring that the analysis incorporates a rights-based approach and identifies bottlenecks in the fulfillment of children's rights in Bolivia.
Engaging with adolescents and youth to gather their perspectives as part of the analysis process.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in statistics, social sciences, economics, or related fields. They should have at least 10 years of proven experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, and social evaluations, with a preference for experience related to childhood and adolescence. Additionally, candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in designing and applying qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, including online surveys. Experience in social inclusion, public health, education, or protection studies is also required, along with demonstrated skills in processing and analyzing large volumes of data using specialized software and tools. Knowledge of human rights approaches, gender equality, and equity, particularly concerning children with disabilities, is essential.
Educational Background: A postgraduate degree at the master's level or higher in statistics, social sciences, economics, or related fields is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of data analysis and the socio-economic factors affecting children and adolescents in Bolivia.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, and social evaluations.
