Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Head of Vice-President Office include planning, organizing, and supervising the activities of the VP office to ensure successful implementation of tasks. The candidate will lead the office staff, set individual objectives, review performance, and provide ongoing feedback. They will develop and maintain a wide network of contacts, engage in sectorial platforms, and advise the Vice-President on various institutional and operational matters. The role also involves conducting research, analyzing documentation related to the Management Committee and Board of Directors agendas, and ensuring compliance with best banking practices. Additionally, the candidate will support the Vice-President in preparing for meetings and summits, and intervene in meetings as necessary.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, social sciences, law, or a related discipline. A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience is required, ideally gained in government, EU institutions, public sector, or International Financial Institutions. Proven capabilities in managing and coaching people are essential, along with a strong understanding of the procedures and functioning of European Institutions. Knowledge of the EIB's mission and policies, as well as experience in International Financial Institutions, will be advantageous. Proficiency in office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree, preferably in finance, economics, social sciences, law, or a related field.
