Job Overview:
The Project Assistant will play a crucial role in the Extra Budgetary Project entitled 'Advancing Media and Information Literacy in Kosovo'. This position is a fixed-term appointment that will last until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. The Project Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and will be responsible for coordinating activities, supporting project implementation, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including government representatives and local experts, to facilitate project activities and achieve the project's objectives. The Project Assistant will also be involved in drafting reports, managing logistical arrangements for events, and supporting communication strategies to disseminate project outputs effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: maintaining contacts with other Mission staff and external organizations to support project implementation; assisting in the design and execution of action plans and timelines; monitoring budget implementation; advising the Project Manager on project-related risks; drafting various reports including activity and progress reports; contributing to the development of knowledge products and resources; organizing activities and events, including logistical arrangements; coordinating administrative tasks such as preparing terms of reference and selecting consultants; and supporting communication and outreach strategies to enhance project visibility.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, supplemented by specialized training in project management, social or political science, international affairs, or media affairs. A minimum of five years of relevant working experience with governmental, inter-governmental, or civil society organizations is required, preferably within the OSCE. Candidates should have established knowledge of the Kosovo media environment, experience in managing projects funded by multiple donors, and familiarity with project cycle management and monitoring and evaluation processes. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and excellent communication skills in English and at least one local language are essential. A valid 'B' category driving license is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes a completed secondary education, with additional specialized training or formal studies in relevant fields such as project management, social or political science, international affairs, or media affairs. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of project implementation and the media landscape in Kosovo.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant working experience. This experience should ideally be within governmental, inter-governmental, or civil society organizations, with a focus on projects related to the media sector and media information literacy. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of project management principles and practices, as well as experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, along with proficiency in at least one local language. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with stakeholders and for drafting reports and documentation related to the project.

Additional Notes:
This is a fixed-term contract position with a monthly remuneration of 1,084.00 Euro, subject to social security deductions. The position includes participation in the OSCE group medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
