Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the PACA Field Coordinator, the Project Coordinator will contribute to defining and implementing the support strategy for operational partners of the France Mission in Marseille. The role involves contributing to the strategy and activities for supporting partners in the Marseille-PACA area, participating in the identification, development, and writing of new support projects, and ensuring the deployment and monitoring of partner support activities. The Project Coordinator will regularly be present on the ground alongside partners and targeted audiences, develop tools and methodologies for partner support and project engineering, and actively participate in coordination dynamics and external representation. Additionally, the role includes supporting the capitalization and reporting of field information for communication and advocacy purposes, as well as managing and supervising a team member.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator's duties include:
  • Contributing to the definition of the strategy and activities for supporting partners in the Marseille-PACA base.
  • Participating in the identification, development, and writing of new support projects for partners.
  • Ensuring the deployment and monitoring of partner support activities and maintaining a regular presence on the ground with partners and targeted audiences.
  • Developing tools and methodologies for partner support and project engineering, including operational intervention protocols and food security assessments.
  • Actively participating in coordination, representation, and external collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Supporting the capitalization and reporting of field information for communication and advocacy purposes.
  • Collecting, analyzing, valuing, and disseminating qualitative and quantitative data from resource activities, particularly from field surveys.
  • Managing and supervising a team member and participating in the life of the base and mission.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in political science, local and territorial development, project coordination, social sciences, social design, economics, or statistics. They should have at least four years of project management experience in areas such as social action, food security, and access to rights, with proven experience in France coordinating multi-actor initiatives involving local authorities, decentralized state services, and associations. Candidates should also demonstrate public speaking and external representation skills, along with expertise in food security (including cash transfers) and/or nutrition, as well as MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) applied to projects in France. Strong relational skills and collective intelligence capabilities are essential for mobilizing networks and building trust-based relationships.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in relevant fields such as political science, local and territorial development, project coordination, social sciences, social design, economics, or statistics is required for this position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of four years of experience in project management, particularly in social action, food security, and rights access, with a strong background in multi-actor coordination in France.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is considered a plus.

Additional Notes:
The position is classified as a cadre integrated role, full-time, with a permanent contract. The salary ranges from €37,000 to €44,000 gross annually, depending on experience, with an additional seniority bonus after three years of service. Employees receive 25 days of annual leave and 21 RTT days, along with health coverage (80% covered by ACF), salary maintenance during illness, maternity, and paternity leave, transport allowances (50% coverage), and meal vouchers (60% coverage for a value of €8). There is also the possibility of remote work for part of the role, and field trips within the PACA region may be required, including representation and coordination outside of PACA.
