Job Overview: The Programme CoordinationAnalyst, EVAW/Humanitarian, plays a crucial role in coordinating the Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW) and humanitarian portfolio under the guidance of the Programme Management Specialist. This position involves supervising team members, collaborating with national partners and stakeholders, and ensuring effective monitoring and reporting of the EVAW initiatives. The analyst is responsible for developing and implementing work plans, preparing progress reports, and establishing systems for project planning and monitoring. The role also includes coordinating gender mainstreaming in humanitarian actions, building partnerships, and advocating for knowledge management and communication within the organization. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the EVAW and humanitarian programs, ensuring that gender considerations are integrated into all aspects of humanitarian action.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the EVAW Programme/Portfolios: Develop and implement work plans, prepare narrative progress reports, and maintain documentation on program activities.
Coordinate Humanitarian Programme: Ensure gender mainstreaming in humanitarian actions, facilitate partnerships with humanitarian actors, and support capacity building initiatives.
Guide Coordination with National Partners: Build relationships with national partners, identify capacity building needs, and provide technical assistance.
Monitor and Report on Programmes: Gather information for monitoring and reporting, conduct regular visits, and draft reports.
Manage People and Finances: Oversee financial resources, budgeting, and disbursement of funds.
Build Partnerships: Contribute to the development of partnerships and resource mobilization strategies.
Advocate for Knowledge Management: Document program processes, contribute to knowledge products, and coordinate advocacy campaigns.
Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in public administration, law, human rights, gender equality, humanitarian action, management, social sciences, or related fields. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) is considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate good program formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation skills, as well as budget and finance skills. Knowledge of UN program management systems and the ability to gather and interpret data are essential.
Educational Background: A Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields is required. A first-level university degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted. A project/programme management certification is a plus.
Experience: At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience at the national or international level in managing complex and multi-component program interventions. Experience in coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating development programs is an asset. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members is required.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, while fluency in English is desirable. Candidates should possess strong communication skills in both languages to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
