Job Overview: The WASHProject Support position is integral to the successful implementation of WASH-related projects in Cox's Bazar. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the WASH Programme Manager and will be responsible for supporting various project activities. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support to the WASH Project Manager in drafting WASH Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for project activities.
Maintain up-to-date information on all IOM WASH projects and manage information flows with technical and support units.
Coordinate with the National Program Officer and Senior Program Associate on project implementation progress and update relevant monitoring trackers and donor reports.
Maintain administrative procedures and records of project files related to Resource Management (Logistics, HR, Finance) and assist in monitoring budgets and financial expenditures.
Support documentation of project activity progress data and finalize technical periodic reports for sharing.
Liaise with IOM Logistics for procurement follow-up and timely delivery of materials.
Raise procurement and payment requests and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
Support coordination and management of communications with the field team, capture volunteers' attendance, and process remuneration for contracted staff. 1
Contribute to the coordination of third-party contracted personnel, including external consultants and researchers. 1
Temporarily cover WASH field staff duties as needed. 1
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a university degree from an accredited institution in business administration, finance, economics, or a WASH-related field (such as Engineering, Public Health, Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences) with three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a school diploma with five years of relevant experience is acceptable. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, particularly in data analysis, and have experience in humanitarian response or related fields. Operational field experience is essential, along with project implementation and management experience, including monitoring and reporting.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a university degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, economics, or a WASH-related discipline. A school diploma is acceptable if accompanied by sufficient relevant experience. The educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of WASH projects and their implementation in humanitarian contexts.
Experience: Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience in humanitarian response or related fields, with a strong emphasis on operational field experience. Proven expertise in data analysis is required, along with experience in project implementation and management.
