Job Overview: The Finance Manager role is integral to providing business and analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis and modeling support to the US Program Division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a cross-functional financial role, supporting multiple stakeholders or programs. This position involves collaboration with FP&A team members to assist program strategy teams (PSTs) in financial assessments of grantees and business case analyses, as well as complex grant structuring and financial due diligence. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation, and supporting broader foundation priorities. This limited-term position lasts for 12 months and does not include relocation assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Manager will provide comprehensive support, financial analysis, and business advice to program teams, driving business case analyses in collaboration with FP&A colleagues and program team members. Responsibilities include leading complex analyses to provide strategic and financial information for budget management and resource allocation, supporting annual budgeting and financial planning processes, conducting organizational assessments and due diligence on key grantees, managing relationships with internal stakeholders, and leading forecast and portfolio allocation management for assigned PSTs. The role also involves creating financial planning tools, performing risk analysis, managing grant and contract spending, assessing operational and financial risks, and advising program teams on risk mitigation strategies. The Finance Manager will participate in cross-foundation efforts to develop tools for effective grant-making and may be involved in complex transactions and special projects requiring significant financial analysis.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of financial planning experience, or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred experience includes work in technology, educational technology, or technology product development sectors. Strong analytical skills, particularly in financial modeling and grant structuring, are essential. Knowledge of risk management and organizational due diligence is also required.
