Job Overview:
The Senior Officer, Strategy & Implementation Management will play a crucial role within the Pneumonia & Pandemic Preparedness (PPP) team. This position involves supporting strategic planning and operational management, as well as providing portfolio management for specific initiatives and managing a limited grant portfolio. The individual will work closely with the PPP leadership team and the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of Strategy, Planning, and Management to develop and execute the team’s strategic vision and priorities. The role requires a proactive self-starter with strong project management skills, capable of tackling complex problems and developing impactful solutions. The position is designed for someone who can contribute to strategy development and implementation while ensuring effective communication and alignment across various teams and external partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: supporting leadership in defining strategy and translating priorities into actionable execution plans with clear outcomes and milestones; managing strategy review and annual planning processes; developing strategic analyses and deliverables; leading or supporting cross-cutting projects related to strategy implementation, partner engagement, and change management. Additionally, the role includes monitoring progress against strategic goals, providing analytic and research support for investment decisions, contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, facilitating collaboration across teams, and supporting leadership meetings with necessary documentation and follow-ups. The officer will also engage with stakeholders, manage relationships with grantees and partners, develop communication materials, and oversee a portfolio of grants or contracts, ensuring that investments achieve their intended outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree along with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in public health, business, or a related field. Experience in project management, epidemiology, disease surveillance, vaccine introduction, safety surveillance, maternal health, or related fields is preferred. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in managing complex strategy development and execution planning, as well as business process improvement initiatives. Strong portfolio and project management skills are essential, including the ability to design and implement strategic frameworks and track progress against objectives. Candidates should also have experience in analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, budget development, and investment management, along with proven ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively across teams.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree is required for this position, with a preference for degrees in public health, business, or related fields. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the strategic planning and operational management of the PPP team.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. Candidates should have experience in two or more of the following areas: project management, epidemiology, disease surveillance, vaccine introduction, safety surveillance, and maternal health. Demonstrated experience in managing complex strategy development and execution planning is crucial, as well as experience in financial analysis and investment management.

Languages:

The Foundation recognizes high-wage market differences in these locations, with salaries typically falling between the range minimum and midpoint based on job-related skills and experience. Candidates must have unrestricted work authorization in the country where the position is located, as the Foundation does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
