Job Overview:

The consultant will undertake site visits as necessary to assess facility readiness and support data management systems, ensuring that all project-related materials are organized and accessible. Additionally, the consultant will oversee multi-level data management processes, including data collection, entry, validation, and cleaning of clinical process and patient data, and will collaborate with educational teams to support broader project activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's duties and responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the design and implementation of the final project plan, outlining timelines, key milestones, and priority deliverables for multi-country implementation.
  • Producing draft documents to ensure effective multi-level governance of the initiative.
  • Supporting the development of country plans for the implementation of ACTxBEC in each initiative country.
  • Conducting facility readiness assessments and preparations per implementation cascade.
  • Maintaining and continuously updating a project tracker aligned with available financial, technical, and human resources.
  • Facilitating clear and efficient communication between stakeholders, supporting coordination, information flow, and alignment across project activities.
  • Supporting mandated reporting across all levels of the initiative.
  • Establishing organized document repositories for timely access to project-related materials.
  • Undertaking site visits to support facility readiness assessments and preparation. 1
  • Coordinating consolidation of country teams to ensure alignment among national coordinators, cluster mentors, facility coordinators, and data collectors. 1
  • Reporting on trainings delivered, including key findings and actionable recommendations. 1
  • Overseeing multi-level data management processes, including data collection, entry, validation, and cleaning of clinical process and patient data. 1
  • Collaborating with the ACTxBEC educational team to coordinate joint efforts and support broader project activities. 1
  • Supporting the production of documents for the design, implementation, and monitoring of the ACTxBEC Education Bundle. 1
  • Supporting the design and implementation of final intervention guidance and standardized resources for educational data oversight. 1

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include:
  • An advanced University degree (Masters) in a health-related area such as public health, epidemiology, health systems, implementation science, or medical education.
  • A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) is desirable.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in health systems strengthening, program implementation, or monitoring and evaluation, particularly in multi-country or large-scale health programs, ideally in Africa.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating training or research programs in clinical or public health settings.
  • Proven experience in data collection, management, and analysis for health programs or implementation research initiatives, preferably in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Experience in overseeing standardized data systems, including data validation and quality assurance.
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting on program indicators, including technical reports and data visualizations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders at various levels, including Ministries of Health and international organizations.
  • Experience in coordinating capacity-building initiatives is an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an essential advanced University degree (Masters) in a health-related area such as public health, epidemiology, health systems, implementation science, or medical education. A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) is considered desirable and would enhance the candidate's qualifications for this role.

Experience:
