Job Overview: The Senior Recruitment and Development Adviser position is crucial for NORCAP's mission to hire skilled professionals and enhance recruitment strategies. This role involves managing end-to-end recruitment processes for critical roles, ensuring exceptional service to hiring managers, external partners, and candidates. The adviser will partner with hiring managers to align talent acquisition with departmental objectives, shaping strategic recruitment direction. The position also requires the development and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent and build a strong employer brand. Additionally, the adviser will coach and mentor team members and candidates, support training for hiring managers, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with quality standards. This role is central to NORCAP's efforts in enhancing recruitment capabilities and ensuring a consistent and efficient recruitment process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment processes for critical roles, ensuring exceptional service to hiring managers, external partners, and candidates.
Partner with hiring managers to align talent acquisition with departmental objectives, shaping strategic recruitment direction.
Apply and refine the NORCAP assessment centre to ensure efficiency and consistency across all processes.
Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent and build a strong employer brand.
Coach and mentor team members and talent pool candidates to enhance recruitment capabilities and presentation of competencies.
Support the development and delivery of training for hiring managers on recruitment tools and processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure synergy across recruitment-related initiatives and compliance with quality standards.
Interface with various internal and external stakeholders including HR Operations, Health Safety and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security-manager" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Manager, NRC Global Recruitment Centre, ICT, Learning and Strategy Unit, and thematic units across NORCAP.
Required Qualifications:
Relevant graduate degree (Master’s level).
Minimum five years of experience in Recruitment, HR, and project management.
Advanced knowledge of recruitment and selection tools and processes, including psychometric testing.
Proficiency in Office 365 and digital communication tools; experience with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot is a plus.
Experience in public speaking and employer branding within recruitment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a relevant graduate degree at the Master’s level, which is essential for understanding the complexities of recruitment and development within a humanitarian context. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in human resources, organizational behavior, or a related field, equipping the candidate with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to excel in this role.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience in recruitment, human resources, and project management. This level of experience is crucial for effectively managing recruitment processes and developing strategies that align with organizational goals. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of successfully filling critical roles and enhancing recruitment practices in previous positions.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as all applications and communications will be conducted in English. Additional language skills, particularly in Norwegian or other languages relevant to the regions where NORCAP operates, would be considered an asset and beneficial for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
