Job Overview:
In the role of Video & Multimedia Adviser, you will be responsible for creating and editing engaging video content that aligns with NRC's brand and mission. This part-time position requires a creative individual who can effectively communicate NRC's stories through multimedia channels, enhancing the organization's visibility and engagement with global audiences. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments to ensure that all visual content adheres to NRC's standards and is effectively disseminated through both internal and external platforms. As a member of the global Content Unit, your work will contribute to building brand awareness, inspiring action, and generating leads for fundraising efforts. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling and multimedia production, and who seeks to leverage their skills to amplify humanitarian action.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating the development of video and multimedia content, supporting the production of visual communication across NRC's 40 country offices, and advising staff globally on various aspects of video production, including photography, video editing, visual communication, storytelling, branding, and technical issues. You will also promote NRC's global activities and results to bolster private fundraising efforts. Additionally, you will manage NRC Visual, the organization's Digital Asset Management system, which involves onboarding new users, providing feedback, and delivering training to enhance the communication capacity of NRC staff.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in video editing, along with a higher education qualification at the university or college level in film and/or multimedia production. You should have expertise in planning, producing, and editing video content specifically for social media platforms. Familiarity with animation skills is a plus, as is an updated knowledge of current video trends and standards on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. A proven ability to inspire and collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds is essential, as is documented experience in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and preferably Adobe After Effects. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality content products are also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a higher education qualification, ideally at the university or college level, in a field related to film and/or multimedia production. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical and creative aspects of video production and storytelling.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in video editing. This experience should encompass a range of skills related to multimedia production, including planning, producing, and editing video content tailored for social media and other platforms. Experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in public advocacy and fundraising communication, is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances communication with diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is a part-time role, specifically a 50% resident contract, with a duration of six months. The duty station is Oslo, Norway, or any other Employer of Records (EoR), Regional, or Country Offices that are within +/- 2 hours of the CET time zone. It is important to note that NRC must have an operational office in the selected country, and candidates must have the right to live or work in that country. The salary and benefits are based on Grade 8 Resident contract terms.
