Job Overview:
The Private Sector Partnerships Adviser position at NRC's head office in Oslo, Norway, is designed for a dynamic and results-oriented professional who will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships with the private sector. This role is crucial for expanding funding opportunities and strengthening relationships with private sector partners. The successful candidate will manage an existing portfolio of partnerships while actively seeking new partners through grants, strategic collaborations, and pro bono initiatives. The adviser will work closely with various internal teams to identify and pursue joint opportunities that align with NRC's mission and enhance its impact. As part of the Global Business Operations team, the adviser will coordinate private sector partnership efforts across NRC's departments, Regional Offices, Country Offices, and Representation Offices. The role also involves supporting partner engagement, relationship stewardship, and key administrative processes to ensure an excellent partner experience, as well as managing special projects across the function.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Private Sector Partnerships Adviser will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: cultivating new private sector partnerships and managing existing relationships and collaborations through various approaches such as grants and pro bono initiatives, ensuring a required return on investment; liaising with internal and external stakeholders to drive partnership growth activities; contributing to the implementation of NRC's fundraising strategy, tools, and systems; providing training and support to relevant staff throughout the organization; conducting market analysis, mapping, and research; developing and managing external communications products, marketing materials, and reports for private sector partners; managing special projects, including fundraising campaigns and internal projects; conducting compliance checks and due diligence on potential partners; ensuring adherence to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures, particularly regarding Private Fundraising policies; contributing to the implementation of the section's strategies in collaboration with Global Leads and the director; and carrying out any other tasks relevant to the function and position as delegated by the line manager.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Private Sector Partnerships Adviser position should possess a minimum of 4 years of documented relevant experience in fields such as marketing, business development, sales, or other related areas. They should have previous experience in strategic relationship building, private partnerships, and networking. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, project schedules, and documents simultaneously. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with experience in developing and implementing fundraising and market strategies. Candidates should also have the ability to communicate effectively between the private sector and the humanitarian sector, and experience working with stakeholders across public, private, and non-profit sectors is highly valued. An interest in humanitarian and displacement topics is considered an advantage, as is experience in marketing, events management, fundraising, and/or project management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel and other relevant data analysis tools, is required, along with strong analytical skills.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Private Sector Partnerships Adviser position includes a relevant degree in fields such as marketing, business administration, international relations, or a related discipline. Candidates with advanced degrees or specialized training in fundraising, partnership development, or humanitarian assistance will be viewed favorably. A strong academic background that supports the skills and knowledge necessary for effective partnership management and fundraising strategies is essential.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in marketing, business development, sales, or related fields. Candidates should have a proven track record in strategic relationship building and managing partnerships, particularly within the private sector. Experience in fundraising, market strategy development, and stakeholder engagement is crucial. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously is also necessary.

Languages:
Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this position. Candidates who are fluent in additional languages, particularly those relevant to NRC's operational contexts, will be considered advantageous, as this can enhance communication with diverse stakeholders and partners.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Oslo, Norway, and is offered as a permanent contract. The role may require occasional travel, estimated at around 10%. The salary and benefits are aligned with Grade 8 on Resident contract terms.
