Job Overview:
The Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role within the operations team, engaging in various warehouse activities to ensure efficient management of materials. This position is integral to the overall supply chain process, focusing on the storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods to field offices. The Warehouse Assistant is expected to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency, contributing to the organization's goals of profitability and customer satisfaction. The role requires a proactive approach to inventory management, ensuring that all warehouse operations comply with established policies and procedures. The Warehouse Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, optimizing space utilization, and supporting other departments to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Assistant's duties include preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to a set schedule, which involves loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping items. The role also entails receiving and processing warehouse stock products, including picking, unloading, labeling, and storing items. The Warehouse Assistant will perform inventory controls, ensuring that quality standards are upheld for audits, and will keep a clean and safe working environment while optimizing space utilization. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory logs, participating in spot checks and stock counts, operating and maintaining warehouse equipment, and following quality service standards. The Warehouse Assistant will also be responsible for reporting any discrepancies in stock and providing consistent support to other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Weekly inventory reports will be prepared and submitted to stakeholders, and the Warehouse Assistant must ensure that all activities align with RI policies, donor regulations, and local laws.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants for the Warehouse Assistant position should possess a diploma or degree in supply chain management, with a focus on warehouse management. A high level of computer literacy is essential, with proficiency expected in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and Internet usage. Candidates should be familiar with modern warehousing practices and methods, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to work independently, take personal initiative, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic operational environment is crucial. Excellent written and spoken English language skills are also required, along with a commitment to upholding the organization's values and principles.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Warehouse Assistant position includes a diploma or degree in supply chain management, specifically with a bias towards warehouse management.
