Job Overview:
As a Reporting and Accounting Officer at the EIB, you will be an integral part of the Financial Reporting and Accounting Department, specifically within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting Division. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate the accounting impacts related to administrative expenses and fee income. This role requires you to formulate recommendations for process optimizations and ensure compliance with accounting policies. You will also be tasked with conducting regular controls and preparing analytical reports to guarantee the accuracy of the EIB Group's financial statements, adhering to EU Directives and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties as a Reporting and Accounting Officer will include executing accounting, control, and reporting processes related to operating and capital expenses as well as fee income. You will be responsible for managing payment processes for administrative expenses, including HR-related transactions. Regular reviews and evaluations of business processes will be part of your responsibilities, along with updating procedure manuals and the Internal Control Framework. You will also contribute to the communication of accounting, reporting, and payment strategies throughout the organization, ensuring efficient delivery of the unit's responsibilities. Additionally, you will participate in digital transformation projects and cross-directorate process improvements, maintaining external and internal relations to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards. Providing guidance and support to junior staff will also be a key aspect of your role.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must possess a university degree, equivalent to at least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required, ideally in a similar role within accounting, finance, or related areas in a multinational organization or a major audit firm. A sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and European Directives on accounting standards is essential. Experience in preparing analytical financial reports and policies is also necessary. An internationally recognized professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, would be advantageous. Familiarity with payment tools and processes, as well as software applications like PeopleSoft Financials, Business Objects, and Certent Disclosure Management, will be considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree that is at least equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. The preferred fields of study are Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other related disciplines. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of financial reporting and accounting practices within a multinational context.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. This experience should ideally be in a similar role within accounting, finance, or related areas, particularly in a multinational organization or a major audit firm. Languages:
