Job Overview:
The role of the Online Volunteer for Grant Proposal Preparation is crucial in supporting the Rescue Mission for Street Life's efforts to secure funding for its programs. The volunteer will engage in the preparation and organization of written materials that are essential for grant proposals. This includes drafting sections of proposals and concept notes, reviewing funding guidelines, and structuring program information in a clear and compelling manner. The volunteer's contributions will directly impact the organization's ability to present its work effectively to potential partner organizations and foundations, thereby enhancing the chances of securing necessary funding. The position is designed for individuals who are passionate about child protection and have a knack for writing and organizing information in a way that resonates with funders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting sections of grant proposals and concept notes to ensure clarity and coherence in the presentation of the organization's programs.
• Review funding guidelines to ensure compliance and alignment with the requirements set by potential funders.
• Help organize program information into structured formats that are easy to understand and visually appealing.
• Collaborate with the organization's team to gather necessary data and insights that will strengthen the proposals.
• Contribute to the overall strategy of improving how the organization communicates its impact and programs to external stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings with the team to discuss progress and gather feedback on proposal drafts.

Required Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Experience:
Previous experience in grant writing, proposal development, or related volunteer work is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for research and the ability to synthesize information from various sources to create compelling narratives for funding applications.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as all written materials will be prepared in English. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in Uganda or the region may be considered an asset but is not required.
