Job Overview:
The Senior Human Resources Analyst position within the Human Resources Department (HRD) of the IMF is a pivotal role that provides logistical and operational support for the delivery of centralized recruitment programs. This position is particularly focused on the Economist Program (EP), which serves as a key entry point for young economists aspiring to build their careers at the Fund. The role also encompasses support for other talent acquisition initiatives, including the Mid-career Economist Program and the Fund Internship Program. The analyst will work closely with the Section Chief for Talent Acquisition Programs to ensure high-quality recruitment outcomes and positive experiences for candidates throughout the recruitment cycle. This involves managing various stages of recruitment, coordinating assessment activities, and engaging with stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Human Resources Analyst will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties that include:
  • Providing operational, logistical, and organizational support for centralized recruitment programs, including the preparation and implementation of outreach, selection, onboarding, transfer markets, and graduation markets for the Economist Program.
  • Executing and monitoring all stages of the recruitment cycle within recruitment systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Planning and coordinating assessment activities, which includes scheduling for candidates and assessors, managing logistics, budget requirements, travel arrangements, and documenting outcomes.
  • Serving as a primary operational point of contact for candidates, program participants, hiring departments, and other stakeholders, ensuring consistent and professional communication.
  • Collaborating with HR Operations teams and Centers of Expertise to facilitate knowledge transfer and share policy changes impacting operational activities.
  • Representing the Fund as a program ambassador in various forums and outreach activities.
  • Producing real-time reporting and analytics on selection outcomes, compliance indicators, and program metrics.
  • Monitoring adherence to recruitment policies and procedures, identifying risks and inconsistencies, and proposing solutions.
  • Participating in projects related to system updates and enhancements, including user acceptance testing for recruitment tools. 1
  • Contributing to the design and execution of innovative recruitment programs aimed at attracting qualified external talent. 1
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline policies and processes and ensuring accurate documentation of changes and policy interpretations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, candidates may qualify with a minimum of two years of HR experience at Grade A06 or equivalent. Relevant experience in operational aspects of recruitment or talent programs is essential, along with a sound understanding of recruitment practices and procedures. Ideal candidates will have direct experience supporting IMF recruitment processes and experience in budget and resource management is advantageous. Proficiency in using recruitment applicant tracking systems, particularly Workday, is expected, along with strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools. Candidates should demonstrate proven project management, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required, along with demonstrated diplomacy and tact in stakeholder engagement.

Educational Background:
A university degree in Human Resources or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding HR principles, practices, and the operational aspects of recruitment and talent management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in human resources or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with at least two years of experience in HR work at Grade A06 or equivalent may also be considered. Relevant experience should include operational aspects of recruitment or talent programs, with a strong awareness of recruitment practices and procedures. Candidates with direct experience supporting IMF recruitment processes will be preferred.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, given the international nature of the IMF and the need for effective communication with diverse stakeholders. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they enhance the candidate's ability to engage with a broader range of applicants and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The selected candidate will maintain their open-ended status if they are a regular staff member. If the candidate is a contractual employee, they will be offered a Term staff appointment. Staff members currently on a term appointment will continue their current term but may receive an extension if their current term has not already been extended.
