Job Overview: The Project Associate (Knowledge Management and Reporting) will play a crucial role in supporting the UNDP's Democratic Governance programming in Bangladesh, specifically focusing on the Activating Village Courts in Bangladesh Project (AVCB III). This position involves developing and implementing a Knowledge Management and Learning Strategy, preparing progress reports, and ensuring effective communication of project outcomes. The associate will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Planning, M&E, and Reporting Analyst, to gather and analyze data, produce knowledge materials, and document lessons learned. The role requires a proactive approach to knowledge dissemination and the ability to coordinate with different project components to ensure timely and accurate reporting. The associate will also be responsible for enhancing the visibility of the project through creative solutions and effective communication strategies, ultimately contributing to increased access to justice and social harmony for rural populations in Bangladesh, particularly women and disadvantaged groups.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Associate will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Supporting the development and dissemination of knowledge and learning materials, including success stories and lessons learned.
Compiling data and inputs from field teams for donor and internal reporting, ensuring timely collection of information for producing results reports.
Proposing and promoting innovative solutions for knowledge management within the project and organization.
Assisting in the preparation of various progress reports, including quarterly and annual reports.
Developing Terms of Reference (ToR) and supervising the work of consultants or consulting firms to ensure quality reporting.
Preparing presentations and briefing notes for high-level meetings.
Providing logistical and operational support for results and lessons learned exercises.
Ensuring knowledge and information are stored securely and confidentially, while monitoring the implementation of the Knowledge Management strategy. 1
Establishing effective networking with relevant organizations and partners to develop knowledge products related to Village Courts and the AVCB III Project. 1
Performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a secondary education as a minimum, with a preference for candidates holding a University Degree (Bachelor’s degree) in fields such as Sociology, Social Welfare, Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, or International Relations. Candidates with relevant experience in development projects, particularly in knowledge management, qualitative research, and reporting, will be prioritized. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with data visualization tools, are essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate the ability to produce a variety of written materials for diverse audiences and possess good knowledge of information and communications technology.
Educational Background: Candidates must have at least a secondary education, with a University Degree (Bachelor’s degree) in relevant fields being highly regarded. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of governance, social welfare, and project management, which are integral to the role of Project Associate.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience for candidates with a high school diploma or 4 years for those with a bachelor’s degree.
