Job Overview:
The Analyst – STI position at WJCF involves supporting the team in conducting cost-effectiveness modeling exercises for STI interventions, data aggregation, primary data collection, and analysis. The role also includes developing dissemination materials to facilitate evidence-based decision-making. The analyst will play a crucial role in growing the STI portfolio by identifying grant opportunities, engaging with donors, and developing grant proposals. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to the development of the STI strategy for WJCF and engage with various stakeholders at national, state, and global levels. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication to ensure the successful implementation of STI initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and execution of cost-effectiveness modeling exercises, ensuring methodological rigor and analytical quality.
  • Assist in building, populating, and validating models, including conducting sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling.
  • Participate in primary data collection activities, including stakeholder interviews and facility-level data gathering.
  • Clean, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights.
  • Prepare high-quality written outputs such as reports, briefs, presentations, and visualizations tailored to diverse audiences including government, donors, and technical partners.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives and visuals for stakeholder meetings and workshops.
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to donor engagement efforts.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and related documents.
  • Contribute to the development of WJCF's STI strategy by synthesizing evidence and analytical outputs into actionable recommendations. 1
  • Support ongoing efforts on Antimicrobial Resistance and access to diagnostics through market assessment exercises. 1
  • Engage with and manage national, state, and global stakeholders, collaborating closely with country and global teams and external partners.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, management, public health, administration, economics, or statistics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in strategy or management consulting, investment banking, product management, pharmaceutical industry, or other relevant public or private-sector domains.
  • High technical proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with advanced analytical tools is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of data from diverse sources into clear, structured outputs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience working with government stakeholders and familiarity with the Indian public health system are advantages.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, management, public health, administration, economics, or statistics. This educational background is essential to ensure that the analyst has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the team's objectives and the overall mission of WJCF.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience. This experience should ideally be in areas such as strategy or management consulting, investment banking, product management, or the pharmaceutical industry. Candidates with experience in public health or related sectors will be particularly well-suited for this role, as they will have a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the health system.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication skills required to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not explicitly required for this position.
