Job Overview:
The National UN Volunteer - Data Analyst position is integral to the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission's efforts to enhance transparency and integrity within the Palestinian territories. The role involves supporting the National Observatory, which is tasked with collecting, monitoring, and analyzing data related to corruption and integrity. The Data Analyst will contribute to the development of methodologies for data collection and interpretation, assist in improving data management systems, and engage in legal analysis tasks as needed. This position is crucial for informing national anti-corruption policies and raising public awareness about corruption issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Collecting and reviewing legal data related to corruption cases, judicial rulings, complaints, and reports.
• Assisting in the development of methodologies for collecting and interpreting legal data from various partners.
• Contributing to the enhancement of data management and reporting tools to ensure effective data utilization.
• Providing support in ad-hoc legal analysis tasks as requested by the Team Leader of the National Observatory.
• Engaging with key stakeholders, including judicial authorities, government institutions, international organizations, research centers, and civil society, to facilitate data sharing and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of data management principles. Familiarity with legal frameworks related to anti-corruption is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate accountability, adaptability, creativity, and professionalism. Strong judgment and decision-making abilities are also required, along with effective planning and organizational skills. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively is crucial for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A degree in law, social sciences, data analysis, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or specialized training in data analysis or anti-corruption measures will be considered an asset. Candidates should have a strong foundation in research methodologies and data interpretation techniques.

Experience:
The position requires prior experience in data analysis, preferably within the context of legal or anti-corruption frameworks. Experience working with governmental or non-governmental organizations, particularly in the Palestinian context, is highly desirable. Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting software will be advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in the Palestinian territories. Proficiency in English is also required, as it is essential for engaging with international stakeholders and accessing global resources. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered a plus.

Additional Notes:
This is a national UN Volunteer position, and the volunteer will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of ILS 2692.06 will be provided monthly to support living expenses. The position includes life, health, and permanent disability insurance. The duration of the contract and specific seniority level have not been specified, but it is a full-time commitment.
