Job Overview:
The Senior Core Services Caseworker is a pivotal role within the IRC, focusing on delivering trauma-informed support to refugee clients throughout their resettlement journey and beyond. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Core Services Caseworker has a comprehensive set of responsibilities that include: conducting thorough client intake and assessment to identify individual and family needs; developing tailored self-sufficiency plans in collaboration with clients; ensuring clients receive essential services upon arrival, such as housing and healthcare; providing ongoing orientation about accessing community services; offering individualized support and advocacy to help clients overcome barriers; monitoring client progress and updating plans as necessary; conducting home visits to assess living conditions; planning and tracking financial assistance; maintaining detailed case files and documentation; collaborating with internal teams and external service providers; developing and facilitating educational workshops; training and supervising interns and volunteers; ensuring compliance with organizational policies; and utilizing personal transportation to assist clients as needed. The Caseworker is also expected to support special projects that enhance client services and contribute to the overall mission of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Senior Core Services Caseworker position should possess a strong set of qualifications, including a preference for bilingual or multilingual candidates, particularly those who can communicate effectively with the diverse client population. A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of two years of professional experience in the human services sector.
