Voluntarios ONU, established to contribute to peace and development globally through volunteerism, operates in approximately 130 countries each year. With field offices in over 80 countries, the UNV program is represented worldwide, working alongside partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated, and well-supported UN Volunteers into development programs.

Job Overview:
The position involves transforming technical and documentary information into engaging and strategic content. The selected volunteer will play a crucial role in creating a commemorative publication that highlights the history, evolution, and impact of UN volunteerism in Bolivia. This role requires a strong focus on storytelling to connect with various audiences and emphasize the value of volunteerism as a driver of sustainable development. The volunteer will analyze existing information, identify key stories and messages, and construct a coherent narrative that aligns with institutional objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The volunteer will be responsible for analyzing and understanding the information gathered during the research phase, identifying key stories and relevant narrative angles, and constructing a comprehensive narrative that articulates the history, impact, and value of UN volunteerism in Bolivia. Additional responsibilities include developing the editorial structure of the publication, writing and editing texts in a clear and inspiring style, applying storytelling techniques to highlight human experiences and achievements, and ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and communication approach across all content. The selected individual will work closely with the UNV Bolivia team to ensure alignment with project goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess experience in storytelling and narrative development, with a strong ability to transform complex information into accessible and engaging content. Skills in writing, editing, and structuring narratives are essential, along with a creative approach to content creation. Familiarity with the principles of volunteerism and sustainable development is advantageous, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Educational Background:
A background in communications, journalism, literature, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a strong understanding of narrative techniques and experience in content creation, particularly in a volunteer or non-profit context.

Experience:
The position requires prior experience in storytelling, content development, or a related field. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of creating compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in volunteerism is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the role involves working with Spanish-language content. Proficiency in English or other languages is considered an asset, enhancing the ability to reach broader audiences and collaborate with international teams.
