Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position is designed to support the national outreach efforts for the International Year of the Volunteer (IVY) 202
Volunteers will work under the guidance of the Office of the National Commission on Social Welfare Promotion and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV). The primary function of the Online Volunteers is to raise public awareness about the Department of Social Development and Welfare (DSDW) Platform, which allows individuals to register as formal volunteers in Thailand and document their volunteering activities. Volunteers will engage in peer-to-peer digital outreach on social media, sharing campaign materials and encouraging others to participate in volunteer activities. This role is crucial in amplifying the messages of IVY 2026 and fostering a culture of volunteerism in Thailand.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Online Volunteers include:
Sharing approved campaign materials such as graphics, flyers, videos, captions, and key messages on personal social media platforms to promote IVY 2026 and the DSDW Platform.
Encouraging peers, networks, and organizations to submit their volunteering activities via LINE or Google Form.
Maintaining a posting frequency of approximately 2-3 posts per week.
Tracking and reporting basic engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, clicks) on a weekly basis using a shared Google Sheet.
Following all posting, reporting, and branding guidelines provided by UNV and the Office of the National Commission on Social Welfare Promotion.
Participating in a mandatory online orientation session at the start of the assignment.
Team Coordinators will coordinate a group of 10 Online Volunteers, support them in consistent posting, assist in translation if necessary, respond to basic questions, review weekly reporting entries, and serve as a communication bridge between UNV and the volunteer group.
