Job Overview: The National Consultant will play a crucial role in developing, finalizing, and integrating a standardized, credit-bearing curriculum and comprehensive teaching materials on Gender and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention into the undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Public Health in Indonesia. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, and academic institutions. The consultant will be responsible for conducting a thorough analysis of existing policies, identifying gaps in the current curriculum, and validating learning outcomes through consultations with key stakeholders. The ultimate goal is to create a robust academic package that enhances the understanding and prevention of GBV among public health students.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties will be divided into three key phases: 1) Analysis, Validation, and Curriculum Development, which includes conducting a desk review of existing national policies, performing a curriculum gap analysis, and facilitating validation workshops; 2) Curriculum and Teaching Material Development, which involves creating a detailed course structure, syllabus, lesson plans, and adapting teaching materials; and 3) Finalization and Endorsement, which includes developing a lecturer's guide and organizing a final workshop for endorsement of the curriculum. The consultant will also be responsible for ensuring that all deliverables meet UNFPA quality standards and are submitted on time.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, Gender Studies, or a closely related field. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Gender Equality, Public Health, or related social development sectors is required. Experience in developing national guidelines, teaching materials, or relevant products is essential, as is a background in university-level teaching to ensure familiarity with academic systems and pedagogical standards. Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia are mandatory.
Educational Background: The position requires an advanced degree, either a Master's (S2) or Doctorate (S3), in fields such as Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, Gender Studies, or closely related disciplines.
