Job Overview: The Associate Digital Printing Officer plays a crucial role in the IAEA's Division of Conference and Document Services (MTCD) by overseeing and coordinating the work of the Digital Printing Group. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Print Shop is equipped with the necessary technology, supplies, staffing, and storage to meet the production requirements of the IAEA. The role encompasses various functions, including serving as a service provider to deliver high-quality print services, acting as a change leader to drive automation and improve workflows, solving problems to enhance efficiency, and ensuring that all printed materials adhere to the Agency's quality standards. The Associate Digital Printing Officer will analyze and plan workflows, manage daily production activities, operate digital presses, and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth printing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Digital Printing Officer include: analyzing and planning efficient workflows to ensure timely production of documents and publications; providing guidance to the Digital Printing Group to enhance productivity and quality; scheduling and overseeing daily production activities; operating and managing digital presses and finishing equipment; managing print purchasing and coordinating with suppliers; ensuring quality standards for in-house and outsourced work; planning and overseeing maintenance of production equipment; monitoring inventory and supplies; preparing cost estimates and invoices; supporting the Unit Head by analyzing printing statistics; overseeing the development of requests for proposals; collaborating with the Division of Procurement of Services on contract management; and staying informed about new printing technologies and industry trends.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or University degree in print production, book and media production, printing technology, digital print technologies, or a related field. A combination of training and four additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of relevant working experience in a digital printing environment, supervisory experience in a printing-related operation, and specialized training in printing. Excellent oral and written command of English is required, and knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is considered an asset. Knowledge of German is also advantageous.

Additional Notes: The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $56,046, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance. A variable post adjustment currently amounts to US $31,554, along with dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation, and repatriation expenses. Other benefits include six weeks of annual leave, home leave travel, a pension plan, and health insurance.
