Job Overview: The Advocacy Focal Point will work under the supervision of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director, playing a crucial role in shaping and implementing advocacy strategies for Action contre la Faim in Afghanistan. This position involves acting as the primary advocacy representative for the mission, providing direct support to the organization, and developing strategic engagements that align with the overall mission objectives. The role requires collaboration with program and support teams, as well as local partners, to enhance their capacity in advocacy efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that programmatic data and analysis are effectively utilized for advocacy and communication purposes. Additionally, the Advocacy Focal Point will develop and execute external communication initiatives that reflect the mission's goals and influence external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with both ACF Afghanistan and global advocacy strategies. This position is vital for promoting the organization's mission and enhancing its visibility and impact in the region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the primary advocacy focal point for Action contre la Faim in Afghanistan, providing strategic support and guidance to the mission.
Develop and implement the ACF advocacy strategy for Afghanistan, ensuring alignment with global and mission-specific objectives.
Collaborate with program and support teams to build their capacity in advocacy, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to engage effectively.
Analyze and synthesize complex issues related to humanitarian advocacy, translating them into strategic insights for the organization.
Develop and carry out external communication initiatives that promote ACF's mission and influence key stakeholders.
Engage in high-level representation and negotiation with external partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy efforts, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Provide training and support to local partners in advocacy and communication strategies.
Ensure that programmatic data and analysis are available and utilized for advocacy purposes. 1

Additional Notes: This position offers a fixed-term contract under French legislation for a duration of 6 months. The monthly gross salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will have their pension insurance reimbursed at 16% of the gross monthly salary. Employees can expect an annual salary increase of 6% after each 12 months of continuous service. Additional benefits include a monthly per diem and living allowance of 681 euros net, a country allowance of 450 euros, and a cold allowance for winter equipment purchases up to 380 euros per year. Child allowance is available at 1500 euros per year per child present in the country of origin, with a maximum of 6000 euros per year. Transportation and accommodation costs are covered, and ACF provides 100% medical coverage for health and repatriation insurance fees, including for dependents. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 rest and recuperation days, and airfare reimbursement for chosen break destinations, along with additional financial support for each RnR period. Field trips may include locations such as GHOR, DIKUNDI, BADAKHSAN, and HELMAND.
