Job Overview: In this role, the Manager Data Capability & Organisational Insights will lead the design, governance, and utilization of data to understand the impact of the organization and enhance the services provided across Australia. The position offers flexibility to work from home or from one of the state offices, and it is a 12-month maternity leave cover, available at 0.8 FTE or full-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the architecture and governance of data systems, uplifting data capability across the organization, and ensuring that teams have the insights necessary for informed decision-making. This role requires collaboration with senior leaders and operational teams across various program areas, including early learning, educational engagement, youth justice, family support, domestic violence, and community development, to embed strong data practices and drive transformational change.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Manager Data Capability & Organisational Insights will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including leading the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality and integrity, and managing complex, multi-stream projects with competing priorities. The role involves designing and operating databases, mapping to external funder systems, and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences. The manager will also be responsible for training and supporting staff in data practices, measuring and reporting on outcomes for children and families, and continuously improving organizational practices based on data insights.
