Job Overview: The position aims to contribute to the development and implementation of a strategy to secure private spaces (shopping centers, events, companies, etc.) that enhance the productivity of Face to Face (F2F) teams and the quality of new donors. The role involves prospecting, managing, developing, and nurturing potential and current commercial allies to facilitate F2F activities in private spaces. The volunteer will work under the supervision of the Implementation Officer or their designated representative, promoting revenue objectives and new donor acquisition for the F2F channel, and participating in the development of a comprehensive strategy for generating alliances with private spaces.
Duties and Responsibilities: The volunteer will be responsible for conducting market studies of shopping centers, events, and fairs where UNICEF should have a presence with F2F teams. They will build and develop communication materials for potential allies, maintain an updated mapping of alliances managed by F2F companies, and ensure compliance with management guidelines. The volunteer will also contribute to the effective development of activities within these spaces, ensuring optimal locations for team productivity, and will establish a reporting scheme for monitoring results by location and agency. Additionally, they will coordinate with teams to secure closed spaces for F2F strategies and supervise the achievement of established objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to represent UNICEF effectively, and a commitment to the organization's mission. They should be comfortable interacting with the public in various contexts and have a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate ethical awareness and a commitment to achieving tangible results, as well as the ability to innovate and adapt to change.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background in social sciences, international relations, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a strong understanding of child rights and the socio-economic context of Colombia.
Experience: Candidates should have prior experience in fundraising, partnership development, or community engagement, preferably within the non-profit sector. Experience working with diverse stakeholders and managing relationships with private entities is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is a plus. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the local context may also be beneficial.
Additional Notes: The contract duration is subject to funding availability and operational needs, with the possibility of extensions. Volunteers will receive a monthly living allowance to cover housing and living expenses, along with health, life, and disability insurance. The monthly allowance for this specialist category is COP $6,082,39
This position requires full availability and exclusivity with the United Nations system. National volunteers are responsible for securing their own housing and essentials for living.
