Job Overview:
The Digital UN Volunteer position is designed to support the UNDP in the production of its Annual Report, which is a key publication that showcases the organization's achievements and partnerships over the reporting period. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Digital UN Volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at producing the Annual Report. These tasks include:
  • Visual Layout, Design, and Formatting: Designing the report in a professional format using tools like Adobe InDesign, ensuring consistency in branding and visual hierarchy.
  • Data Visualization: Converting raw data into accessible visual formats such as charts, infographics, and tables, while adhering to UNDP's corporate visual identity.
  • Proofreading and Quality Assurance: Conducting thorough proofreading to ensure the report flows well, is free of errors, and meets UNDP's formatting standards.
  • Compliance with UNDP Branding and Accessibility: Ensuring the correct use of logos, color palettes, and accessibility features in the report.
  • Final Production and File Preparation: Preparing final outputs in both print-ready and web-optimized formats, ensuring all technical specifications are met. The volunteer will also participate in regular coordination meetings and will receive feedback throughout the assignment to enhance the quality of the outputs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Digital UN Volunteer position should possess strong skills in document design and formatting, particularly with tools like Adobe InDesign. They should have a keen eye for detail, especially in proofreading and ensuring consistency in branding and visual elements.
