This program aims to enhance the quality of reproductive health services and strengthen the capacities of institutions and stakeholders to address discriminatory social and gender norms. The online volunteer will work under the direct supervision of the Reproductive Health Program Specialist and in coordination with the UNFPA Resident Representative in Burundi. The role involves conducting research, synthesizing technical data, drafting thematic notes and advocacy materials, producing awareness content, and analyzing health indicators. The volunteer will also support the promotion of STI/HIV prevention among adolescents and youth, propose innovations to accelerate UNFPA's transformative results, and develop communication skills to address sensitive topics effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Volontaire en ligne Assistant-e en Santé Maternelle et Planning Familial include: conducting research and synthesizing technical data; drafting thematic notes and advocacy materials; producing awareness content; analyzing health indicators; supporting the promotion of STI/HIV prevention among adolescents and youth; proposing innovations to achieve UNFPA's transformative results; developing communication skills to address sensitive topics; participating in the documentation of best practices and evidence-based reporting; engaging in research or evaluation projects to gather data on family planning best practices, maternal health, and holistic management of obstetric fistulas; acquiring skills in data collection and analysis to contribute to the continuous improvement of family planning services; participating in discussions and activities to promote favorable policies and practices at local, national, and international levels; providing support in other intervention areas as needed; contributing to the production and dissemination of communication and social mobilization materials related to sexual and reproductive health; and producing monthly reports on achievements and planning for the following month.
