Job Overview:
The position of IC-National Senior Tribal Advisor to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs involves providing expert advice and support to the Ministry in enhancing the welfare and development of tribal communities in India. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic advice to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs on policies and programs related to tribal development.
• Conduct assessments of existing programs and initiatives to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and tribal organizations, to ensure a coordinated approach to tribal development.
• Facilitate capacity-building workshops and training sessions for government officials and tribal leaders.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of tribal development programs and provide feedback to the Ministry.
• Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for the Ministry and other stakeholders.
• Advocate for the rights and interests of tribal communities at national and state levels.
• Stay updated on national and international best practices in tribal development and integrate them into local strategies.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in social sciences, development studies, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience working with tribal communities or in tribal development programs is essential. The candidate should have a proven track record of policy analysis, program evaluation, and stakeholder engagement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with diverse groups. Knowledge of the legal and policy frameworks governing tribal rights in India is highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate cultural sensitivity and a commitment to promoting social justice for tribal populations.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Anthropology, or a related field is required. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline would be an advantage. The educational background should reflect a strong understanding of tribal issues, development policies, and social justice frameworks.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in tribal development, social policy, or a related area. Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or international organizations focused on tribal issues is preferred. Familiarity with the socio-economic conditions of tribal communities in India is crucial for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Hindi or any regional tribal language would be considered an asset, as it would facilitate better communication with tribal communities and stakeholders.
