This program aims to enhance reproductive health services, empower youth, and improve data production and utilization for national planning. The online volunteer will work under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and in coordination with the UNFPA Resident Representative in Burundi. The role involves supporting demographic and statistical dataanalysis, contributing to analytical notes and reports on population and development, and assisting in the design of visual data representations such as tables and graphs. The volunteer will also support documentary research related to population and development and document the links between population and development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support in analyzing demographic and statistical data to inform program decisions.
Contribute to the drafting of analytical notes and reports concerning population and development issues.
Assist in the design and creation of visual representations of data, including tables and graphs, to facilitate understanding and communication of findings.
Support documentary research efforts related to population and development topics, ensuring that the information is relevant and up-to-date.
Document and analyze the interconnections between population dynamics and development initiatives, providing insights that can guide policy and programmatic decisions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a strong understanding of demographic and statistical analysis, as well as experience in research methodologies related to population and development. Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. Familiarity with UNFPA's mission and objectives, particularly in the context of reproductive health and gender equality, is highly desirable.
Educational Background: A background in social sciences, public health, demography, or a related field is required.
