This program aims to enhance the quality of reproductive health services, strengthen national mechanisms, and improve data production and utilization for national planning. The volunteer will work under the direct supervision of the Gender and Human RightsProgramme Officer, collaborating closely with the VBG Coordinator and the UNFPA Resident Representative. The role involves contributing to various tasks related to humanitarian action and gender-based violence (VBG), with a focus on research, analysis, and support for awareness-raising initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Volontaire en ligne Assistant-e Humanitaire et VBG include:
Providing support for documentary research on VBG and humanitarian action;
Contributing to the drafting of analytical notes and capitalization reports;
Formatting humanitarian reports;
Assisting in the production of remote awareness-raising materials;
Identifying new and exacerbating protection risks in the country and prioritizing efforts and resources to prevent, address, and mitigate these risks;
Supporting the identification of humanitarian needs and types of assistance required through mediation assessments and exploratory missions;
Monitoring regional trends, producing analyses, and advising the Protection and Access Officer, particularly regarding the establishment of early detection mechanisms, mediation, and emergency planning;
Providing support to the VBG/PSEA Coordinator.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for this position should possess strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize information effectively. They should demonstrate a commitment to humanitarian principles and gender equality, as well as the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in relevant software for report writing and data analysis is essential.
