Job Overview:
The Graphic Designer Consultant position at UNICEF Kosovo Office is aimed at enhancing the visual communication and branding of UNICEF in Kosovo. The consultant will work under the guidance of the Partnerships and Communication Officer to develop visibility materials that meet office and donor requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of graphic design principles and the ability to create designs that align with UNICEF's mission and values. The consultant will be responsible for producing a variety of graphic materials, including flyers, posters, social media visuals, and promotional merchandise, over a long-term agreement spanning from February 2026 to January 202
  • The position emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and adherence to UNICEF's design guidelines, ensuring that all materials produced are not only visually appealing but also effective in communicating UNICEF's message.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
  • Concept Development: Generating innovative ideas and concepts that meet user needs and align with project goals.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders to ensure that designs are feasible and meet all requirements.
  • Prototyping: Developing prototypes to test and refine design concepts before final production.
  • Feedback Integration: Incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders to enhance the quality and effectiveness of designs.
  • Deliverables: Producing a variety of graphic materials, including 20 designs for flyers, 20 designs for posters, social media visuals, promotional merchandise, and more, all within specified timelines.
  • Keeping updated on current trends in graphic design techniques to ensure that UNICEF's materials are modern and relevant.
  • Adhering to UNICEF's guidelines and standards in all design work to maintain brand integrity and consistency.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in a relevant field such as graphic design or fine arts. Fluency in both English and Albanian is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have at least three years of progressive experience in graphic design, with a preference for those who have worked in the UN or other international development organizations. Strong proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and GIMP is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate a mature design style and an understanding of UNICEF's guidelines.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a university degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background ensures that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to produce high-quality graphic designs that meet UNICEF's standards and objectives.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of progressive experience in graphic design. This experience should include a portfolio of work that demonstrates the candidate's ability to create effective and visually appealing designs. Experience working with international organizations, particularly within the UN system, is considered an advantage, as it indicates familiarity with the unique requirements and standards of such organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Albanian is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, as it can enhance communication with diverse stakeholders and audiences.
