The expert will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance UNEP's visibility and impact in addressing pollution issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The expert will undertake a variety of tasks, including supporting the implementation of corporate strategies for the Chemicals and Pollution Action Pillar, proposing innovative communication approaches, and developing materials such as press releases, social media content, and video scripts. Additionally, the expert will represent UNEP in the Quadripartite Awareness Working group on AMR and contribute to joint communication strategies with partners.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in developing communication strategies and materials, as well as working with international organizations or NGOs, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the UN system and its operations would be beneficial.

Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the regions affected by pollution, would be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
The position is a UN Volunteer role, which typically lasts for a specified period with the possibility of extension based on funding and performance. Volunteers receive a Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) to cover living expenses, and additional benefits such as health insurance, travel allowances, and a settling-in grant may be provided.
