The organization conducts research and disseminates information to combat child abuse and protect children's rights, while also providing leadership training to youths. Despite its impactful programs, the foundation's digital visibility is limited, which hinders its ability to attract global supporters and generate sustainable income through online platforms.

Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer position at Purewish Foundation Uganda is designed to enhance the organization's digital presence, particularly on YouTube. The volunteer will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the YouTube channel, increase subscriber engagement, and meet monetization requirements. This role is crucial for expanding the foundation's global reach and ensuring the sustainability of its programs that support vulnerable children and youth. The volunteer will work closely with the organization to create compelling digital storytelling content that resonates with audiences and attracts potential supporters. This position not only focuses on technical skills but also emphasizes the importance of community engagement and the impact of digital platforms in promoting the foundation's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive strategy for growing the YouTube channel and increasing digital visibility.
• Create engaging video content that tells the stories of the children and communities served by Purewish Foundation Uganda.
• Optimize video titles, descriptions, and tags to improve searchability and engagement.
• Monitor and analyze channel performance metrics to assess growth and engagement levels.
• Collaborate with the foundation's team to align digital content with organizational goals and messaging.
• Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on best practices for digital storytelling and online engagement.
• Research and implement effective strategies for audience engagement and community building on YouTube.
• Assist in developing promotional materials and campaigns to attract new subscribers and supporters.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing, social media management, or content creation, particularly on YouTube.
• Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, monetization strategies, and audience engagement techniques.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey impactful messages through video content.
• Familiarity with video editing software and tools for creating high-quality content.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for supporting vulnerable communities and a commitment to the mission of Purewish Foundation Uganda.

Educational Background:
A background in marketing, communications, media studies, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in digital marketing or content creation will be considered an asset.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing or content creation, with a focus on YouTube or similar platforms. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in community development is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Northern Uganda would be an advantage but is not required.

This is a volunteer position, and the duration of the assignment is flexible based on the availability of the volunteer. The role can be performed remotely, allowing for international applicants.
