Job Overview:
The Research Data Analyst Intern position is designed for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in data analysis within the context of the United Nations. Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: gathering and analyzing data from multiple databases, performing statistical and mathematical programming, developing reports and visual representations of data, and maintaining databases. They will support team members with data cleaning and management, create data visualizations for internal and external use, and translate data results into written reports or presentations. Interns will identify and analyze trends using statistical methods and contribute to innovative approaches to organizational challenges. Additionally, they will assist in the development of data science solutions to enhance planning and decision-making processes within the organization.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in a graduate program, be in the final year of a university degree program, or have graduated with a university degree. The organization welcomes candidates from diverse educational backgrounds, particularly those studying Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Visualization. Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques is desirable, but no prior work experience is required.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in fields related to data science, analytics, or business intelligence. Relevant coursework in areas such as Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or Mathematics is highly valued. Experience:

Languages:

This internship is unpaid and can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis, with a minimum duration of three months and a maximum of six months. Interns are expected to work under the supervision of a staff member and may have flexible working arrangements, including hybrid or remote options.
