Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Online Volunteer include:
Reviewing the Spanish translation of four online course modules, which encompass approximately 336 pages of content.
Evaluating the course assessment materials in Spanish, including four quizzes, discussion forum questions, and exercises based on case studies, totaling around 40 pages.
Assessing the promotional materials for the course, such as the course brochure, program outline, grading policy, and FAQ, which comprise about 10 pages.
Ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of the Spanish translation with the original English content.
Checking the alignment of the translation with UN terminology, style, and guidelines.
Ensuring that the language used is suitable for a professional audience within the banking and finance sector.
Providing feedback and suggestions to enhance the quality of the translation without re-writing or restructuring the original content.
Collaborating with the Training Team at UNEP FI and participating in discussions about the impact of the translated materials on climate risk management in the banking sector.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Online Volunteer position should possess the following qualifications:
Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with a strong command of written language in both languages.
Experience in translation, particularly in the context of professional or technical documents.
