Job Overview:
The Human Resources Assistant position at WFP is designed to support the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring that high-quality HR services are delivered to clients. The role involves performing a range of HR tasks that are crucial for the smooth functioning of HR services within the organization. The HR Assistant will be responsible for assisting with general HR queries, providing guidance and training to staff, and liaising with other internal units on HR-related matters. This position requires a proactive approach to managing HR data, maintaining personnel records, and supporting staff deployment. The HR Assistant will also play a key role in onboarding new staff members and ensuring compliance with established HR processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Assistant will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: providing assistance on general HR queries and ensuring high-quality HR services; offering guidance and on-the-job training to other staff members; liaising with internal units on HR matters such as payroll and contracts; extracting and compiling HR data for analysis and reporting; providing administrative support for HR activities; maintaining confidential personnel records and HR databases; drafting HR documentation such as employment contracts and training-related documents; using HR management systems to enter and update HR data; supporting staff deployment and related administrative actions; and performing other duties as required to facilitate efficient HR services.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the HR Assistant position must possess a university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field. Alternatively, a post-secondary certificate with additional years of relevant work experience may be acceptable. The role requires at least 2 years of progressive work experience in Human Resources Management or related fields, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR policies and procedures. Candidates should also have experience in payroll administration, recruitment activities, and providing guidance to less experienced staff members.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field such as Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, or Industrial Psychology. A post-secondary certificate combined with additional years of related work experience may also be considered acceptable. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of HR functions and effectively supporting the organization's HR services.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of progressive work experience in Human Resources Management, Business Development, Psychology, Organizational Design and Development, or General Office Administration. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing HR policies and procedures, conducting HR services activities, and providing guidance to staff. Experience in onboarding processes and working across various WFP contexts is also desirable, as it demonstrates the ability to adapt to different strategic priorities and operational environments.

Languages:
